Meet The Team

Robert Langellier is an avid dog lover and a Journalism Major with an emphasis in Magazine Writing. He is also acquiring Minors in both French and Creative Writing. Born in the Midwest, Robert grew up in the Midwest, later moving away to college in the Midwest. He's pretty good at writing, racquetball and long-distance relationships. He's bad at parties, reading and painting. He is confident that the job markets for journalists, violin players and folk musicians will explode in the coming decade. After graduating, Robert plans to leave the Midwest.

Marissa Balmas is a Sophomore Journalism Student at Mizzou with an emphasis in Broadcast TV reporting. She was born in Illinois and also moved to the Midwest for college. She enjoys long walks on the beach and talking under the stars. She loves dogs, especially her Rottweiler  puppy, Kaluah. She is good at standing on one leg, decorating cupcakes, and Skype phone calls overseas. She lives her life by the motto "if you don't stand up for something you will fall for anything" and plans to be more famous than Bill Gates in her lifetime. 

Ie'shia McDonald is a sophomore at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she majors in Journalism with an emphasis in Magazine Editing, and minors in Spanish. Born in Kansas City, MO, but raised in small town Raymore, MO, McDonald is eager to pursue a career in Journalism in a more upbeat environment. In her spare time, McDonald enjoys writing short stories, watching Vh1, and listening to music. She is good at stating random facts at the most irrelevant times, writing, and making others laugh. Her life motto? "If it weren't for the wind in my face, I wouldn't be able to fly"- Arthur Ashe.
